Johnson Financial Group Inc. has been marketing Medicare Health Plans, also known as Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C), for many years. As with Original Medicare, these types of plans cover Medicare Part A (hospital coverage), and Medicare Part B (doctor and outpatient coverage), but they also offer Medicare beneficiaries an alternative to Original Medicare, (which covers about 80% of charges), and they take away the need to add a potentially expensive Medicare supplement (medigap) policy. Many plans also offer coverage for prescription drugs (Part D).
