Dental & Vision Plans
Dental
When it comes to dental, there are 2 types of plans to choose from. The first type of plan is dental insurance. Dental insurance generally pays (usually by reimbursement or indemnity), a percentage of covered dental expenses based on the Reasonable and Customary (R & C) fees for those procedures.
The second type of dental plan is the dental discount plan. These plans can provide a savings of 10% to 60% off the cost of dental procedures like checkups, cleanings, and even braces and cosmetic dentistry on select plans.
Vision coverage can be obtained in various ways, depending on the needs of the client: as a stand-alone vision discount plan, as a stand-alone vision insurance plan, or as a plan attached to a medical plan or dental plan. Coverage typically includes eyeglasses, contacts, eye exams and surgical procedures from ophthalmologists, optometrists, independent optical centers and national chain locations such as Pearle Vision, JC Penney Optical, Sears Optical, LensCrafters, and EyeMasters stores.
